ORBS
Are sources of energy or the life force of a former living being. When the container for the life force expires the energy is no longer contained. Science has proven that the human brain creates electricity. Albert Einstein had at one time shown scientifically that when electricity had been created, it could not be destroyed.

In the natural world, the sphere is the most perfect form, therefore the orb is the most common and easiest form to take to contain matter in the spirit world. Basic physics are to be taken into consideration on this matter. Why are raindrops spherical and soap bubbles are not triangular? The forces around these objects make them take the easiest shape to contain. 

SHADOW PEOPLE
Represent a different configuration than the standard orb, mist or vortex. Spirits of the dead may manifest in many configuration patterns.  It takes more energy to configure into a full body apparition than a small ball of light or mist energies.  We believe they are departed spirits who are in still darkness before they rise to the light.  Light will not pass through different densities or masses the same way. Because spirit energy has density it can create a shadow on the ground or the wall. The shadow is not alive but the matter (although dead) is casting the shadow. Shadows are relatively common and have been cast when orbs and vortex's are photographed.

Shadow People because of their dark forms are often considered to be evil. The era of movies and television have instilled in our subconscious mind that the good guys wear white and the bad guys wear black. This misconception should be eliminated with shadow people. Shadow people are simply another manifestation of spirit energies.            
                
Shadows can be one of the harder anomalies to photograph because of their speed and color.  Mostly seen from the corners of your eyes.  I find Shadow beings are caught more on Video than stills because they move so fast.There are actually three separate types:          
       
Type 1 - Appear as a small dark misty cloud and are almost always under two feet in length, but can hover or float up to 8 feet high. 
 
Type 2 - Appear as a huge glob of thick cloudy mass. They typically range from 2 to 8 feet in height.   
     

Type 3- Appear in human form and some may be seen wearing a hat. They typically appear up to 8 feet in height. Most often spotted in homes. Have also been seen outdoors at a distance. Birds and cats are especially sensitive to them.   

   

ANOMALY

Something found on a picture, photograph, video or voice recording that has no explainable source. 
 
APPARITION
A spirit that is in human form and usually visible to the naked eye; or may appear in a photo originally undetected.  Often this anomaly is dressed in period clothing.  Very hard to capture on film but many have reported seeing this type of ghost.  This is the "Hollywood" ghost featured in many movies.                  
      
 ECTOPLASM
The term used for a smoke-like or fog looking mist that appears in photos but was not discernible by the human eye.  This phenomena has been captured in the midst of large groups of people, as well. 
 
ENERGY LIGHTS
These show up on photos as colored lights during some manifestations of hauntings.  They usually are not visible to the naked eye and can appear in different colors such as red, orange or green. 
INTELLIGENT HAUNTING
When spirits dwell in a specific area and demonstrate an interactive ability with those here in the physical realm.

KINETIC ENERGY
Description for the movement of objects by a ghost.  A physical manifestation of an unseen force which may move, throw or even destroy objects. These ghosts are known as "Poltergeists" (German for "noisy ghost"). 
 
 
PLASMA / PLASMOID
Moving orbs caught during the time of camera exposure.  Orbs have also been filmed moving on video.  In photos, they appear as streaking light or as an orb with a tail showing the path of motion. These are also known as "supercharged orbs" in motion. 
 
POLTERGEIST
German for "noisy ghost." These ghosts manifest in the physical enough to produce sounds and the movement of objects. 
 
RESIDUAL HAUNTING
When a spirit is seen doing the same thing over and over, many believe this to be simply an energy imprint or residual haunting.  In other words, a strong, traumatic event that occurred in some other time, and repeats itself over and over.  Usually these spirits do not interact with those who see them.  
 
VORTEX / VORTICES
A long streak across a photo that may be caused by a very high-speeding "orb;" some believe vortices are a gateway between both realms (physical and spiritual).  They are usually white and may appear as a funnel-shape.  Camera straps, human hair, a tree branch, etc., right in front of the camera lens during exposure have been notoriously mistaken for a vortex.  It is important to make sure anything that may interfere with your photo is removed from within the front of the camera.
