Ghost Hunting 101 (Part 3)

More Tips.

* If it is is raining, snowing or foggy, and you are scheduled to do an outdoor ghost hunt or full investigation, have fun with the ghost hunt, but reschedule the investigation.  You cannot conduct a proper investigation in these conditions.

* Keep an open mind, any negative feelings may drive the spirits away.  Be respectful of the locations and the dead.

* No smoking, alcohol or drugs at an investigation for obvious reasons.

* No whispering during EVP recording, it can taint your results.

* Do not wear perfume,  cologne or anything else with a very noticeable scent.  Spirits often use scents and smells to get our attention.

* Make sure you let someone know where you will be so they will know in case of emergency.

It is All About the Client.

Keep in mind that many of the people who request an investigation need to be listened to, comforted, educated and assured that your findings are credible. Recently we did an investigation for a family that was so frightened by an alleged haunting, whether they stayed in the house or moved out was based on our investigation's conclusions. It is imperative that you do everything you can to keep the client calm and feeling protected.  The living come first.
