How it All Began.
In June of 2008, two veteran paranormal investigators, Scott Trainito and Sal Pigantone, founded Para-Boston. In a few short weeks of planning and networking, Scott and Sal recruited a core group of smart and talented people. Some of whom had been dissatisfied members of other paranormal groups. While others had experienced, or would like to experience, the spirit world in profound and exciting ways.
Within a month, the organization grew to twelve core members, and immediately received requests to perform two investigations. Para-Boston was filmed investigating Gallows Road in Salem MA for a FearNet TV Special on the Ten Most Haunted Sites in America. Shortly after, they received their first press coverage, created an Associate Member Meet-Up Program that is now one-hundred and five people strong, and now will be aired on Jordan Rich WBZ talk radio show, filming at the Majestic Theatre in Boston and havestarted booking 2009 very strongly. They achieved immediate name recognition and are known for their credibility as paranoral investigators, and for their professionalism.
Their work is centered on a scientific approach that goes much deeper than looking for unexplained creaks and shadows. Para-Boston conducts investigations that look for hard scientific trace evidence that suggests a physical occurrence by a nonphysical presence. Each member of the core group adds a particular talent to the mix. A cutting-edge ghost hunting device inventor ... EVP specialists ... video capture and analyzation specialists ... EMF specialists ... all dedicated debunkers ... home construction experts ... researchers ... local history buffs ... and psychics.
Unlike many popular paranormal investigation groups who have done away with psychic involvement entirely, Para-Boston has three well-versed psychics. Each knows his or her way around the techniques of ghost hunting and the proper use of ghost hunting equipment. Being able to investigate ghosts using physical and nonphysical expertise provides tremendous dimension to the group's investigations. Not shy of the paranormal, Para-Boston will investigate any type of haunting, giving it their very best shot every time.
